Chapter 7 - Laws regarding
- Guilt offering - Every male priest eats it
- Offering of well-being
- Flesh that touches an unclean thing
- Ordination of the priests
- Moses cleanses, then "dresses" Aaron and his sons in their priestly garments
- Slaughters bull for sin offering, ram for burnt offering, second ram for ordination
- Anoints them with the blood of the ram - right earlobes, right thumbs, right big toes
- Burns fat and grain offering and breast
- Aaron and sons to remain at the entrance of the tent for 7 days
- On 8th day
- Sin offering - bull calf
- People's offering - goat and grain
- Offering of Well-being - ox and ram
- 24 - "Fire came out from the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar; and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces."
1-21 - Jerusalem Council -Dispute over circumcision of Gentile believers
Three sources of evidence for inclusion of Gentiles:
- Personal testimony - Peter speaks: God has appointed me to preach to the Gentiles. Jews will be saved through grace, just like the Gentiles
- Testimony from God - Paul and Barnabas tell of signs and wonders done among the Gentiles
- Testimony of scripture - James: This is a fulfillment of prophecy
- To be sent back to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas accompanied by Judas and Silas of the Jerusalem church
- Message from Jerusalem church: Judaizers do not represent us; Paul and Barnabas, Judas and Silas do.
- Observe these things: Abstain from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, what is strangled, and fornication.
- Barnabas takes Mark to Cyprus
- Paul takes Silas and goes through Syria and Cilicia
